Conway Agency for Children and Families with Special Needs is
always looking to add quality individuals to our team. We offer

positions are currently available:
1. SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST: As a full or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist you would provide services to children who are at-risk for developmental delays, or have a diagnosis of autism or related disorders. Children range in age from 18 months to 12 years. Responsibilities would include providing speech and language assessments and intervention using both individual and group formats, writing progress reports, and preparing treatment goals specifically designed for the benefit of individual students, and participation in EIP meetings as needed.
Qualifications for this position include a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, California state license in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), experience working with children, and excellent communication and writing skills. Other requirements include being computer literate, no past criminal history, TB clearance, and a reference check.
2. ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT: As an Associate Consultant, you would be helping to manage DTT programs and cases. You would provide one-to-one behavioral intervention to children with Autism in their homes and the community. Initially, Associate Consultants participate in a training program where you learn about Applied Behavior Analysis, discrete trial training, how to effectively manage maladaptive behaviors, and data collection. Training and supervision continue throughout your employment at the Conway Agency. This is a full or part-time (i.e., minimum 12 hours a week) position.
Qualifications for this position include enrollment in college as a senior studying psychology, child development, counseling, education, or special education. Individuals with higher education are encouraged to apply. You also need to be a patient individual, with empathy, enthusiasm, and enjoy spending time with children. You need to demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with others, be organized, and work independently as well as take supervision and direction from supervisors. Other requirements include TB clearance, possession of a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, good driving record, reference check, and no prior criminal history.
3. CLASSROOM SHADOW: Technically referred to as Behavior Intervention Implementation Provider (BII). As a BII Provider, you would implement behavior intervention services by working directly with students to implement positive behavior plans in LAUSD classrooms. This includes prompting appropriate student behaviors, and collecting data. Training and supervision continue throughout your employment at The Conway Agency. This is a full or part-time (i.e., minimum 12 hours a week) position. BII Providers can also work as Associate Consultants.
Qualifications for this position include a minimum of a high-school diploma, any higher education degree (i.e., A.A., B.A., etc), a desire to work with children, the ability to work collaboratively with others, and work independently as well as take supervision and direction from supervisors. You also need to be a patient individual, with empathy, enthusiasm, and enjoy spending time with children. Other requirements include possession of a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, good driving record, reference check, TB clearance, and no prior criminal history.
